STOKE Easy Rider Potters are pleased to announce Hynek Stichauer as their fourth signing for the 2010 season. Stichauer, 22, joins the Potters on loan from Sky Sports Elite League Champions Wolverhampton and links up with Stoke on a seven point average.
Potters promoter Dave Tattum said “Hynek is a young rider with plenty of ambition and wants to get to the top of the sport. He won an Elite League winners medal last season with Wolves, but it was felt by him and his parent club that he would benefit from a season at Premier League level. I’m sure he will add to his average and become one of the top boys in the league.”
Stichauer was Czech Republic under 19 champion back in 2005 and came to the attention of the Wolves promotion after finishing runner up in the five round 2008 Czech Republic under-21 championship finishing behind victor Matej Kus. Unfortunately Stichauer’s season with Wolverhampton was cut short after he suffered a vertebrae break in a Polish league match back in July having ridden sixteen matches for the West Midlands club allowing him to be credited with a league championship winners medal. Stichauer did return to action on the continent but was not recalled by Wolves for the latter part of the season.
